Under the auspices of President of Qatar University, Dr. Hussein Bin Rashid Dirham opened the first international conference held in Qatar for two days from 1-2/5/2016, entitled "Learning Arabic to Non-Native Speakers, the Challenges and Prospects for the Future".
The conference aims to support the role of the research center of the Arabic language to non-native speakers, and achieve its objectives in spreading the Arabic language on a large scale, as well as strengthening the serious initiatives in the field of learning Arabic to non-native speakers and benefit from the latest findings in this field.
"The bet on this conference is gaining legitimacy of optimism for his ability to make a positive contribution in addressing the shortage of in -depth scientific studies involved in the field of learning Arabic to Non-Native Speakers, and providing scientific actors which provides an opportunity for professionals to see the latest theories in the field of learning Arabic as a second language, and the exchange of experiences and views and share insights on issues related to this field. Dr. Soman has lead a number of sessions (The reality of learning Arabic to non-native speakers, the development of curricula and methods of learning Arabic to non-native speakers), Where he pointed to the importance of this review to strengthen the links between academics from specialists, especially that a large broad international participation witnessed by the Conference.
