Dean's Message - Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences

I welcome all visitors to this electronic site of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at al- Isra university. The faculty represents one of the outstanding additions to this distinguished academic and scientific monument. It is one of the preceding faculties, among private sector universities in Jordan, in establishing a Bachelor degree program in Physiotherapy.

The faculty implement the Ministry of Higher Education standards and regulations in granting Bachelor degrees for the students. The terms of acceptance, study plan and the requirements to attain a Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy are compatible with its equivalents in the local and international faculties of Allied Medical Sciences. High school graduates may join this program which includes 135 credit hours distributed over four years. The faculty is looking forward to expand in other scientific fields through initiating new programs soon, such as: "Technology of Radiation Imaging", and "Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation".

This young faculty was established on solid, scientific origins and pillars that allowed it to move steadily towards creating a distinguishable, qualified and competent graduates. It attracts highly qualified academic staff, and ambitious students who intend to promote the profession of physiotherapy and its code of conduct to guarantee integrity and honesty of performance; especially that a physiotherapist's job is to deal with patients who desperately need help to repair and retain the natural performance of their body's organs.

The Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences achieves its mission, vision, and core values that are derived from Isra University mission, vision, and values through its emphasis on the following major roles: (1) Teaching/Learning, where theoretical teaching in classes corresponds with the clinical learning that takes place in specialized labs and hospitals, (2) Conducting and publishing scientific research and participating at local and international scientific conferences, (3) Community service, (4) Continuous quality improvement.
