Abstract | The aim of the study was to investigate the impact of business intelligence (Data Integration, Data analysis, Performance Metrics) on human capital development (Decision Making, Incentives structure, Training, Attraction of skilled employees) in the water sector in Jordan. The study population comprised of employees from the Human Resources Department, Business Planning Unit, IT, and Performance Monitoring Unit of water sector companies in Jordan, totaling (315) employees. A simple random sample from the study population (173) employee was selected, and a questionnaire was then distributed electronically, yielding total of (173) valid responsesfor analysis. To achieve the study objectives, a descriptive-analytical approach was used. Statistical analysis and Hypotheses testing were conducted using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS V.26). The study yielded several noteworthy results, including a statistically significant positive impact of business intelligence (Data Integration, Data analysis, Performance Metrics) on human capital development (Decision Making, Incentives structure, Training, Attraction of skilled employees) in the water sector in Jordan. Based on the study findings, several important recommendations were made, including the needto utilize business intelligence tools to enhance communication and coordination processes among different work teams. It was also recommended that water sector companies in Jordan leverage data analysis techniques to extract valuable insights and information to enhance their performance and growth.
