Abstract | This thesis explores using metaverse technology and Building Information Modeling (BIM) in construction projects to optimize the Project Management Triangle of cost, time, and quality to avoid project failure. The study examines how metaverse technology can enhance stakeholder collaboration and communication and studies the advantages and disadvantages of using metaverse in the construction project at all phases leading to more informed decision-making, improved project outcomes, and reduced costs. The thesis also investigates how BIM technology can be integrated into the metaverse to create detailed 3D models and simulations of building designs, which can aid in project management and decision-making. The thesis includes case studies and analysis of the metaverse and BIM technology implementation in real-world construction projects. The findings demonstrate that using metaverse and BIM technology can significantly improve project outcomes, including increased efficiency, reduced costs, and improved stakeholder engagement. Also, it took a case study that was designed using traditional design methods. It observed the implementation phase taking part in this project and designing it using the metaverse and BIM technology and investigating the response and the effect of that on the stakeholders. The study concludes that integrating metaverse and BIM technology in construction projects can help optimize the Project Management Triangle and prevent project failure. |
