Abstract | Background: Pain management constitutes a significant component of medical practice and healthcare, focusing on alleviating pain across a spectrum that ranges from acute and straightforward cases to chronic and complex conditions. Aim: This study aims to explore the perspective of nurses regarding pain management in Jordanian governmental hospitals of pain management for patients suffering from chronic diseases in 2 governmental Jordanian Hospitals. Methodology: A qualitative design was chosen. A study was conducted in Al-bashier Governmental Hospitals and South Shouna Governmental Hospital on a convenience sample of nurses working in Jordanian governmental hospitals. Twenty (n = 20) nurses participated. A face-to-face interview was conducted by the researcher to collect data. Transcribed interviews were thematically analyzed by specialty to identify within- and across-specialty perspectives on obstacles and recommendation criteria. Finding: Five themes emerged from this study's findings, the first one is Psychosocial support, the second one is Pain management strategies, the third theme is Examination, the fourth one is Success stories , and fivth one is the Management barriers. The 2nd theme divided into four codes the first code is Strategies for addressing chronic disease management, the second code is Strategies for improving chronic disease management, and the third code is Strategies for patient education about chronic disease management, the four code is Factors Affecting Pain Management and the third theme divided into two codes the first one is Recognizing the diversity of patients' needs and the second one is Assessing pain in patients with chronic diseases, especially considering cultural and linguistic factors. Conclusion: Investigating the perspectives of nurses working in public hospitals in Jordan on pain management has revealed several critical gaps that need to be addressed. Effective pain management is essential for enhancing healthcare quality and patient outcomes. This study underscores the importance of providing nurses with continuous education and training to keep them updated on the latest pain management guidelines and techniques.
