Abstract | The use of Total Quality Management helps to raise service standards. Total Quality Management is particularly beneficial for corporations and organizations that place a high priority on departments. Since the left hand typically doesn't know what the right hand is doing in such businesses, inter-departmental disagreements negatively affect how customers' requirements and wishes are met. Under Total Quality Management, quality control and problem avoidance are everyone's responsibility within the company or organization. This management strategy was initially only utilized in the manufacturing industry, but other businesses in a range of industries, particularly the construction industry, have successfully embraced it since then. Total Quality Management makes use of business strategy, data, and interdepartmental communication to infuse quality into the organization's operations and culture. The research aims to study total quality management (1) its impact on project dimensions (2) knowledge of the level of application of total quality management in selected Government projects in Jordan. Its dimensions are represented by the involvement of employees and the focus on the customer. To achieve the objectives of the research, the quantitative type was used, and a questionnaire was prepared from a group of questions, formulated in a thoughtful manner, presented to some experts (engineers, site engineers, managers, engineering managers, and technicians), and then distributed to workers in selected Government projects. The study sample consisted of 82 employees and technicians of high and medium grades, who worked on governmental projects for some contracting companies. The importance of applying quality management was reached because of its positive impact on the work environment in government projects. The researcher reached some recommendations for employers regarding the importance of employee participation in decision-making and their involvement in the total quality management system. This does not detract from the focus on the customer because of its positive effects on the progress of quality in the project. Customer satisfaction is the most important factor in total quality management. |
