Abstract | The concept of quality management has become an important procedure that must be accomplished in construction buildings in general and school buildings in particular, as the school buildings sector is a vital sector that nourishes an important segment of society. It aims to achieve project goals with minimal cost and effort. There are detrimental effects on the efficiency and operation of these processes aimed at completing school buildings due to the insufficient application of the quality control system in the buildings. Therefore, in this thesis, the extent to which the TQM system has been applied in school buildings in Jordan was discussed in this thesis. The researcher supposed the methodology that included extensive review. The aims of this phase are to evaluate the current total quality management system and to determine the factors that effect on quality management system in the construction field. The second phase were questionnaire. The aim of the second phase is to determine the most influential factors according to the statistical analysis using SPSS software. The third phase were formulating the house of quality as a supposed template and formulating the total quality management system in school building. The results of the performance evaluation for the implementation of the total quality management system showed that there are real problems in the various stages of the projects like determine the specifications announced in the projects and amendments approved and circulated to the parties. Finally, the researcher came up with the development of a total quality management system in school buildings that can be used to assess the extent to which quality management is applied in school buildings and to give recommendations and directions according to the situation. |
