ملخص الرسالة
Several mathematical models solved steel reinforcement cut stock problem (CSP), which aim in the first place to optimize cutting waste (trim loss). Steel reinforcement cutting is not only CSP as many think, but also it is a whole process associated with several site managerial aspects. Ignoring these aspects leads to lose the real concept of steel reinforcement management, and change the problem from management and optimization problem into CSP. Therefore, these aspects are vital as much as optimization models. This research aims to build a management model, which aims to manage steel reinforcement cutting and improve cutting waste optimization. This research proves utilization of such model reduces the optimum cutting waste. In addition, it assists decision-makers to manage steel reinforcement cutting process. The proposed model and methods of solution are applied to manipulate arbitrary numerical cases as well as an actual case study of a power plant construction project. Furthermore, this research demonstrated that this management model can be applied to any project.
