ملخص الرسالة
Managing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a country involves a combination of several conflicting factors and organizing priorities, in terms of economic, social and environmental aspects.
Many studies have developed different modeling types to analyze the sustainable goals of different countries, Jordan still lacks this kind of studies. Therefore, this study aims to develop Multi-Criteria Model to minimize the total cost of achieving three future sustainable goals that effect the three dimensions of sustainability in Jordan, which are decent work and economic growth (DWEG), industry, innovation and infrastructure (III) and climate change (CC). Moreover, each one of them will derive several additional secondary goals that will form the final model.
This model will take into consideration the preferences of the decision makers. In this study, in order to propose the mathematical model, the plastic industry sector in Jordan have been chosen to be studied, analyzed and developed. The proposed model studies the factors that affect the plastics manufacturing and production sector in Jordan, such as its participation in the GDP, its employment, the possibility of developing its solid waste management and recycling sectors, and evaluating its ability to increase its productivity.
After finalize the model, sensitivity analysis will be applied to prove the model validity to changes. This study not only help evaluate and develop the plastic industry sector, but it also emphasizes the need to activate the scientific and academic role in making future strategies.
Through data collection, literature review, interviews, work field, official reports and linear programming modeling, this study will assist policies makers in planning future strategies to achieve sustainable goals in Jordan at 2025.
