ملخص الرسالة
Project success depends on the achievement of the primary elements in construction project management, which includes time, cost, and quality. Meeting objectives of all three elements can be a challenge. Any missed time or cost can negatively impact the project and it's stakeholders.
The aim of this thesis is to help construction project managers find the best approach that deals with time-cost trade-off problems. This study takes two different scaling construction projects and solve them through three various techniques, where they include Critical Path Method (CPM), Liner Programming (LP), and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). Research studies rarely used ACO technique to solve construction project issues. This research found that ACO is the best technique, among the three techniques this study used, that is capable of solving time-cost trade-offs in large construction projects.
This research study provides a time and cost optimization model that empowers construction managers to optimize multi-objectives. This study relies on developing a mathematical model using the Ant Colony Algorithm (ACA), which can deal with large-scale projects and reach an optimal solution accurately within a short time.
