The main directions of the department's research are:
1. The resistance of cells to the action of hormones and various drugs is a major problem in endocrinology, oncology and geriatrics.

2. Despite numerous studies aimed at overcoming this condition, the problem remains unsolved. There are still no mechanisms for reducing the sensitivity of cells to the action of regulatory signals during aging.

3. The investigation of mechanisms of adaptation in ontogenesis.

4. Investigation of metabolically changes in ontogenesis and their reversibility and the influence of environmental factors on ontogenesis.

5. The elaboration of biological models for investigation of pathologies depending on age.

The Investigations are realized on Wistar rats; also, they are directed to experimental proof of the integral hypothesis of aging based on mechanisms of epigenesis and adaptiogenesis.

Research skills with animal models, work with laboratory animals (rats, mice), experimental surgery. Experience in research work in cell biology: cell and tissue cultures, particularly primary cell cultures; isolation, medium selection, maintaining.

Viral cultivation and vaccine manufacturing methods indoctrination. 
Spectrophotometer, Chromatography (ТLC, HPLC), Radio labeling in vitro and in vivo: metabolic radio labeling researches, scintillation analysis. PCR, ELISA and some other bioanalytical methods based on the ligand binding.
