University of Aleppo is one of the oldest universities in Syria as well as one of the most successful. Research work started in 1980. Today around 1000 senior lecturers/professors and 1500 members of staff work at University of Aleppo. The University has in average about 110000 students. The University has 5 Engineering Faculties which are in Renewable Energy , Energy Systems and Energy Economics and Environmental Assessment interested . These Faculties are active in the field of environmental technology and environmental assessment. Staff of the concern Faculties teaches among others the topics:
Renewable Energy; Energy from Biomass; Energy Systems and Energy Economics and Environmental Assessment.
