The Deanship of Student Affairs / Office of Career Guidance and Graduate Follow-up / King Abdullah II Fund for Development organized a free training workshop entitled “Elections: Civic Participation and Responsibility,” which was part of the plan of the Office of Career Guidance and Graduate Follow-up in cooperation with the Academy for Integrated Development and the Jordanian Association for Political Science, presented by both: The expert, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sartawi, and the expert, Dr. Sadiq Al-Makhamreh.

At the beginning of the workshop, Prof.Dr. Bilal Al-Sakarneh (Dean of Student Affairs) welcomed the attendees, stressing the importance of workshops and training courses that contribute to refining the students’ personality, developing their  talents and abilities, and qualifying them to enter the labor market.

 

Al-Sakarneh pointed out the importance of elections, youth participation, and the awareness of the new election laws. Then the experts began the workshop, which aimed at raising youth awareness of the importance of elections, motivating the effective civic participation and political participation, shedding light on the role of elections  in improving democracy and  familiarizing the students with  the  new elections  law and parties.
