His Excellency Professor Mohammed Hamed, Rector of the University, sponsored a blood donation campaign for cancer patients organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in cooperation with King Hussein Cancer Center.
It was held at the University Health Centre, in the presence of Dr. Haitham Manasra (Health Centre Manager) and several teaching and administrative staff and students.
His Excellency the rector of the university noted that the organization of the blood donation campaign comes within the framework of the university's desire to sponsor and organize events based on humanity and to achieve its noble mission, and the participation of its students in the service of the local community and engaging in volunteerism. The blood donation gives the donor a sense of vitality, activism, and pride to contribute to saving the lives of many cancer patients.
Moreover, His Excellency the rector of the university stressed the University's desire to continue to support and participate in various voluntary work to help cancer patients and wished them a speedy recovery.
He commended the spirit of voluntary initiative of students and university employees to donate blood, stressing that such campaigns are an embodiment of good citizenship, loyalty and belonging to the country.
