The Center for Consultation and Training, Community Development and Continuing Education Institute organized a training workshop, “The Importance of Space Science and Technology,” presented by the Academic Department at the Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology/ Royal Jordanian Geographical Center.
The symposium included several topics in astronomy and space sciences.

It included a general introduction to space and astronomy presented by Dr. Hanna Sabat, a lecture on the importance of space science in our daily lives presented by Dr. Ammar Al-Sakkji, and a lecture on applications of space technology in the service of humanity and sustainable development presented by Dr. Qais Al-Omari.

It is worth mentioning that it included the importance of cooperation between the university and the center through holding training courses on various topics in space sciences, astronomy, remote sensing, global precaution, atmospheric sciences and other applications of space technology in sustainable development. One of the university’s faculty members also suggested that there be a course (at least) in space sciences and astronomy as a university requirement for students in Jordanian universities, both private and public.

Dr. Mahmoud Al-Disi, Director of the Center for Consultation, Continuing Education and Community Service at the University, also praised the level of the training workshop at the scientific level, wishing that such seminars would continue at the University.
