Azmi Al-Adwan (Program Director) and Ms. Annie Koshkarian (Training Coordinator) at the Council of Churches, in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Al-Disi (Director of the Consulting Center) During the meeting, His Excellency the President of the University presented an overview of the university’s history, its establishment, its faculties, its specializations, its scientific centers, its teaching programs, its research projects, and the specializations it offers for various academic degrees, as the university focuses on opening horizons of knowledge and empowering students in all specializations. This meeting comes to discuss ways of joint and academic cooperation between the university and the Council of Churches. The visit included a tour that included the energy and renewable energy laboratory, the soilless agriculture model and linking it to renewable energy, and the elderly care laboratory.
In the same context, a lecture was given to students of the Energy and Renewable Energy course, organized by the Fcaulty of Engineering in cooperation with the Consulting and Training Center and the Council of Churches, presented by Engineer Nidal Al-Akhras (General Director of Al-Dalil Engineering Systems Company), in the presence of Dr. Nasim Al-Numan (Dean of the College of Engineering), members of the teaching and administrative bodies, and university students.
The lecture included several topics, including how to install renewable energy cells and the climate impact on them, the importance of design within official legislation and instructions, renewable energy storage systems, the importance of batteries in energy, the appropriate place for installation, influencing factors, excess energy, the heat pump system, heating and linking it to the environment.
