The Center for Leadership and Creativity at the university organized an introductory lecture in cooperation with the German Cultural Institute (Goethe) of the German government, entitled “The German Language and Before Integration,” in the presence of Dr. Ali Al-Ghalayini (General Director/Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors) and a number of members of the Board of Trustees, deans, and members of the two teaching bodies. And the administrators, students, Miss Sherine Fala, Miss Sarah El-Shenawy, Miss Rand El-Tabbakhi, and Mr. Karim El-Zoubi from the German Cultural Institute (Goethe).
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Mike Haddad (Director of the Center for Leadership and Creativity) welcomed the distinguished attendees and presented an overview of the German Cultural Institute (Goethe).
His Excellency Prof. Muhammad Hamed gave an introductory overview of the university’s establishment and development, the academic programs and degrees awarded by the university, and that the university has woven a proud history of academic excellence, its commitment to spreading science and promoting innovation, and its keenness to provide an educational environment that stimulates students’ creativity in learning, leadership and excellence, indicating that the university is keen to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this world.
His Excellency the President of the University indicated that the primary goal is to prepare academically and skillfully qualified graduates who are able to meet the requirements of the local, regional and international labor market. The University has worked to improve the infrastructure to provide the best educational and research facilities for students and faculty members, and as part of its tireless endeavor to enhance leadership and creativity, a center for leadership and creativity has been developed and equipped with the latest and best scientific equipment, noting that this initiative confirms the university’s firm commitment to stimulating the creativity of students and faculty members and supporting leadership projects.
During the meeting, His Excellency the President of the University stressed the depth of academic and research cooperation relations with various German educational institutions, pointing out the University’s belief in the importance of exchanging scientific visits between faculty members in a way that contributes to the exchange of experiences and knowledge, and the development of teaching methods to keep pace with the rapid scientific developments taking place in the scientific and academic fields. This reflects positively on university students and qualifies them with the necessary skills and knowledge to play their role after their graduation in advancing the process of sustainable development in various sectors and developing our national institutions.
His Excellency the President of the University expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation for the generous attendance, encouraging the students to move forward towards acquiring knowledge and learning.
At the beginning of the lecture, Ms. Rand Al-Tabakhi and Mr. Karim Al-Zoubi gave a comprehensive explanation of the requirements for residence and work in Germany, such as the conditions and mechanism for obtaining a visa, and preparing the required official documents and papers, stressing the importance of learning the German language, and they introduced the Goethe Institute as a cultural institute for teaching the German language, and the language courses it provides, qualifying courses to prepare for exams, language levels and the time period students need to learn the German language, the importance of preparing students to integrate and live in Germany, and the difficulties and challenges they may face.
The lecture aimed at familiarizing students with the requirements for residency and work in German territory, in addition to learning the German language, and helping them understand the needs and requirements of the German labor market.
