Isra University and the National Library Department signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen their partnership and expand cooperation in various areas, including documentation, scientific research, nurturing national intellectual output, and knowledge dissemination.
The memorandum was signed by Dr. Mohammed Moussa Hamed, President of Isra University, and Dr. Nadal Ibrahim Al-Ahmad, Director General of the National Library Department, in the presence of several prominent figures from the university. Among them were Dr. Fuad Shtayyeh (Dean of the Faculty of Arts), Dr. Omar Anbar (Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Arts), and Ms. Khatam Othman (Director of Isra University Library).
The memorandum included joint efforts to enhance cooperation in cataloging, classification, and archiving, with an emphasis on knowledge and experience exchange between the two parties. Dr. Nadal Ibrahim Al-Ahmad provided an overview of the National Library Department, confirming their readiness to provide full support to Isra University's library staff through training courses and workshops in library and information science.
Prof. Hamed emphasized the university's commitment to equipping students with the necessary skills to meet the demands of the job market, reaffirming the university's commitment to enhancing its partnership with the National Library Department to strengthen education and scientific research.
At the end of the event, commemorative plaques were exchanged between Isra University and the National Library Department as a symbol of mutual appreciation and fruitful collaboration between the two parties.
