  Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa bint Ali sponsored the opening of the international conference entitled "Childhood between Challenges of Reality and Future Aspirations", which was organized by the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences at An-Najah University / Palestine, and in the presence of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hamed, President of the University, Dr. Nidal Dwaikat on behalf of Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Zaid (President of An-Najah University), Prof. Dr. Walid Sweileh (Dean of Scientific Research), Prof. Dr. Fayez Mahamid (Dean of Graduate Studies) and Prof. Dr. Abed Al-Khaliq (Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences) from An-Najah University and Dr. Agadir Juwaihan, Director General of Princess Taghreed Foundation for Development and Training. Mr. Wael Al-Rousan (representative of the Tourism Promotion Authority), Prof. Dr. Asmaa Al-Khawaldeh (Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences), deans, heads of departments and students.

Prof. Mohamed Hamed, President of the University, welcomed Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa bint Ali and the honorable attendees, saying that we at Isra University are pleased to hold a childhood conference entitled "Childhood between Challenges of Reality and Future Aspirations", in cooperation with An-Najah National University.

  Among the current challenges facing children, including educational, psychological and health challenges, artificial intelligence challenges, technological development and legislative challenges, and do not forget the challenges facing children with special needs, especially health, psychological and social. He continued, "When we talk about the near future, we are talking about the role of technology and the concept of innovation in children's education, the use of artificial intelligence in improving education, health and social care services, as well as the use of artificial intelligence programs and learning difficulties in children.

 

The President of the University indicated that this conference is the fruit of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and the Department of Early Childhood at the university, and in response to the call of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah to protect children, sound and secure education for them, and preserve their rights. Which aims to enhance awareness of children's rights and well-being in all social and developmental fields, in line with international and regional conventions and conventions, and in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

For his part, Dr. Nidal Dweikat (Vice President of An-Najah University for Planning, Development and Quality) expressed his great happiness with the fruitful partnership between the two universities, stressing the compatibility of the conference with the vision of An-Najah University to address important topics such as studying the challenges facing children with disabilities, studying legislation related to childhood, and exploring the aspirations of the future and childhood in the digital environment.

Dr. Agadir Juwaihan (Director General of Princess Taghreed Foundation for Development and Training) pointed out the focus on two specific segments of children that occupy the first place in the strategic directions of the Princess Taghreed Foundation for Development and Training, which are the category of prisoners without support and the category of children with disabilities in remote governorates and villages.

Dr. Asmaa Al-Khawaldeh, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, spoke about Isra University since its establishment, the active and nurturing role of childhood through the Faculty of Educational Sciences from academic programs, applications and educational development projects, starting with the establishment of Isra University Nursery, which provides a safe and healthy environment for the children of workers, students and the local community.
