The Library Director participated in the technical workshop entitled “Towards a Transparent Government in Jordan, the Role of Information Coordinators in the Effective Implementation of the Law Guaranteeing the Right to Access to Information” on Wednesday 9/25/2024, organized by the Information Council in cooperation with the National Library, under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Mustafa Al-Rawashdeh. Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Information Council.
The workshop was attended by information coordinators and assistant information coordinators in the ministries and departments concerned with law enforcement, members of the Information Council, directors of libraries of universities that are members of the Center of Excellence in Library Services for Private Jordanian Universities, and employees of the National Library Department.
The workshop included presenting amendments to the law guaranteeing the right to access information, highlighting the tasks and responsibilities of business coordinators, and emphasizing the important role that information coordinators play in effective implementation of the law.
