On Wednesday, 11/13/2024, the International Projects Unit at Al-Isra University, in cooperation with the Center for Refugee, Displaced Persons, and Forced Migration Studies at Yarmouk University, organized an introductory lecture on the fields of studies, research, and joint projects aimed at attracting researchers from Al-Isra University, presented by Dr. Ibrahim Darwish, Assistant Director of the Center, in the presence of: Dr. Ruba Al-Akash (Director of the Center) ,Dr. Saleh Bazzi (Head of the Studies and Research Unit) and Professor Dr. Enshad Jumaa (Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs and International Projects). His Excellency the Professor, President of the University, welcomed the delegation and appreciated their efforts in supporting researchers and highlighting the correct basics and standards followed in submitting and writing project applications.
The lecture, which was attended by a number of members of the teaching and administrative staff and students at the university, covered an introductory overview of the center, its establishment, its objectives, and a group of topics related to the basics and advice that the researcher must follow when submitting project applications, the correct standards that must be taken into account, and the most prominent caveats that must be avoided when writing. The project by the work team, and the importance of identifying topics within the jurisdiction of the submitting entity, and its potential and ability to implement the project.
The Center for Studies of Refugees, Displaced Persons, and Forced Migration, which was established at Yarmouk University in 1997, is considered the first center in the Arab region and the Middle East to specialize in issues of asylum, displacement, and forced migration.
