Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamed, President of the University, the Faculty Performance Development Center at Isra University held, over three days, workshops on establishing academic qualifications within the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework for faculty members from the faculties of (Arts, Information Technology, and Engineering).

 

The President of Isra University, stressed the importance of this step in enhancing the university’s academic standing and ensuring that students are provided with the necessary skills and knowledge to keep pace with developments at the university. He also expressed his thanks to the work team at the Development and Quality Assurance Center for their efforts in achieving this achievement and wished them further success in improving the quality of education at the university.

 

 

During the workshop, which was presented by Dr. Omar Al-Anbar (Director of the Center for Faculty Performance Development), Professor Ikhlas Al-Mukhal, and Professor Rawan Fayez, a comprehensive explanation was provided about the Jordanian national framework for qualifications placement through live examples of preparing forms, transcripts, and paper and electronic schedules for academic levels. All (bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees).

 

Dr. Al-Anbar explained the importance of the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework, which aims to reduce the gap between the outputs of educational and training institutions and the needs of the labor market in terms of skills, knowledge, and competencies, in addition to clarifying the importance of the participatory process among faculty members to establish cooperation and consultation mechanisms, and the importance of the pivotal role of partners in the educational process. ; To improve it and develop the quality of programs, which will reflect positively on the reputation of educational outcomes for the Jordanian and international labor market. He said that the Jordanian national qualifications framework is based on the concept of learning outcomes. Educational institutions must create their educational programs based on clear educational outcomes that are compatible with the specifications of the level to which the qualifications resulting from these programs are intended to be placed.

 

During her speech, Al-Mukhal explained the mechanism of action of the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework, which includes a hierarchical classification of the levels of qualifications and all certificates related to higher education programs, within specifications for each level. To determine the knowledge, skills, and competencies that should be linked to the qualification.

 

 

 

The workshop was attended by more than seventy faculty members at the university, who discussed preparing models and descriptions for teaching materials, how to prepare the housing application, forming committees from faculty members, employees, and administrators in the colleges, and the necessary evidence when preparing data and statements.
