Based on the university’s vision of the necessity of communicating with students, Dr. Zaid Al-Halhouli, Dean of the College of Information Technology at the university, met with the new students, in the presence of department heads and faculty members, which was organized by the Student Affairs Committee.
Dr. Al-Halhouli stressed the importance of raising confidence, desire, will and ability to empower students with knowledge and empowerment, noting that the number of college students this year has increased significantly, which indicates high confidence in the college and its staff.
The Dean explained the new updates to the study plans this year to suit the labor market and its needs by increasing the number of practical materials, in addition to holding training workshops for students that contribute to raising the student’s efficiency to encourage them to participate abroad.
The importance of forming teams of students to enhance their skills and expand their networks was also explained, praising the role of the Student Affairs Committee in organizing the event and supporting new students. The achievements achieved by students from various college departments and in various competitions were reviewed and what will be participated in in the coming days.
The meeting included speeches from a number of faculty members, which included supporting the student, enhancing confidence, directing him to ways of success, and choosing the right path that will achieve, by passing it, what the student is raising for.
A number of students also reviewed the majors in the college and their characteristics through their experiences in the college in previous years, and the discussion was opened among the students, the college administration, and faculty members.
