Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamed Hamed, President of the University, the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Al-Isra University organized an open day to celebrate International Children’s Day, in the presence of the Director of Giza District Development, Dr. Abdel Baset Al-Khawaldeh, representatives from Al-Qastal Secondary School, families from the local community and their children, deans of colleges, faculty members, and workers at the University.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Asmaa Al Khawaldeh welcomed the distinguished guests, stressing the importance of caring for childhood in accordance with the Hashemite Vision and the directives of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, which emphasizes the necessity of caring for childhood and strengthening the efforts made to support this important segment of society.

 

She highlighted children's rights and the importance of establishing educational institutions for early childhood and adhering to the provisions stipulated in the Jordanian Law on the Rights of the Child No. (17).

The celebration included an introductory tour of the nursery’s corners and courtyards, and recreational games, including role-playing, coloring on gypsum, cutting and pasting activities, coloring the stages of a chicken’s growth, decorating with wool, beadwork, shaping with paste, in addition to face painting. Miss Maha Abu Al-Rish presented a group of educational activities aimed at children, which contribute to developing their mental, physical and emotional abilities. And a fun science experiment using hot water and dry ice, to add a touch of entertainment.

In turn, Dr. Abdel Baset Al-Khawaldeh praised the distinguished efforts provided by Al-Isra Nursery for the sake of promising independent investigation for children and serving the local community, in addition to appreciating the efforts of its employees.

In conclusion, gifts were distributed to the children.
