The Training Committee at the College of Pharmacy at Isra University organized a workshop entitled “Supply Chain Management”, presented by Dr. Sufyan Muqaddadi, Head of the Department of Medicines and Pharmaceutical Preparations and the person responsible for the supply chain at King Al-Moussas University Hospital.
The workshop aimed to raise the general level of knowledge and understanding of students regarding pharmaceutical supply chains, especially students in the “Field Training 2” course, in addition to meeting the requirements of American accreditation through the “Train the Trainer” program, which is specifically directed to doctors and healthcare professionals.
The workshop included several main topics in the field of (Health Supply Chain Management), where Dr. Muqaddadi discussed the importance of organizing and distributing medicines and medical supplies within an integrated health system. He also reviewed modern methods for improving the efficiency of the supply chain through the use of technology and innovation in resource management.
The lecturer also discussed the most prominent challenges facing health supply chain management under the current circumstances, and the need to improve coordination between the various stakeholders, including hospitals, health centers, supply companies, and government institutions, to ensure the provision of distinguished and safe health services.
Dr. Muqaddadi stressed the importance of the role of pharmacists in developing this system and achieving efficiency in distributing medicines and medical supplies at various levels of healthcare.
At the end of the workshop, Dr. Hoda Al-Momani (Assistant Dean for Training Affairs) honored Dr. Sufyan Maqdadi on behalf of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy in appreciation of the valuable information he provided, which contributed to enriching knowledge and enhancing skills in the vital field.
