The University Library organized a series of field visits to the Jordanian National Library Department, during the months of November and December 2024, with the participation of university students and faculty members from various faculties.
The visits included introducing participants to the nature of the work of the National Library Department, highlighting its tasks of preserving books and manuscripts, documenting them, archiving them, and classifying documents, in addition to learning about the services it provides in the field of preserving cultural and national production and community service.
The university works to promote extracurricular activities that contribute to developing students’ basic skills and knowledge, which are characterized by knowledge and empowerment, which qualifies them for effective participation in community service and progress. Through this event, the university also seeks to extend bridges of cooperation with various national institutions, especially in the areas of documentation and scientific research, nurturing national thought, and disseminating knowledge.
