Within the framework of the faculty of Pharmacy at Isra University’s keenness to enhance communication with new students, the Student Affairs Committee headed by Dr. Ziad, in coordination with the Student Activities Committee, organized an introductory meeting on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in the College of Arts Theater.

 

Student Sadan Al-Saoub opened the meeting with a welcome speech in which she reviewed the event’s sections, followed by a fragrant recitation from the Holy Qur’an presented by student Zaid Al-Tahan, which added a spiritual atmosphere to the event.

 

During the meeting, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Nihad Ayoub, stressed the importance of students’ adherence to university instructions to ensure the success of the educational process. She also reviewed the college's plans and goals aimed at developing students' academic skills, and pointed to the role of student committees, such as the Student Affairs Committee and the Student Activities Committee, in facilitating university life and providing the necessary support to new students.

 

Dr. Nihad praised the efforts of the Student Activities Committee in organizing the meeting and receiving the new students, which contributed to creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. The careful coordination and arrangement of the event was an example of the committee’s commitment to providing a distinguished university experience.

 

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Bilal Al-Sakarna, Dean of Student Affairs, who gave the new students an overview of the academic opportunities and various activities provided by the university, stressing the importance of investing in these opportunities to develop their skills and prepare for the labor market.

 

In turn, Engineer Farah Malaba, representative of the Student Activities Committee, gave a speech in which she highlighted the importance of students’ participation in activities to enhance the spirit of cooperation and university affiliation.

 

The meeting concluded with an open discussion session, during which members of the administrative and academic staff answered the students’ inquiries, which contributed to preparing them for the university stage and enhancing their sense of belonging to the college family.

 

The new students expressed their happiness at this meeting, appreciating the efforts made to introduce them to university life and encourage them to participate actively.
