On Tuesday, 12/24/2024, the President of Isra University, His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamed, received a delegation from Al-Maqasid Charitable Hospital, which included the Chairman of the Board of Directors, His Excellency Dr. Awni Al-Bashir, the Director General, Dr. Bassam Al-Shaloul, and the Director of Nursing, Mr. Muhammad Hammad, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides.
At the beginning of the meeting, the University President welcomed the attendees and spoke about Isra University's keenness to strengthen its cooperation and relations with all Jordanian community institutions within the university's vision of serving the community. His Excellency stressed the university's readiness to achieve maximum benefit from the health services available in clinical training for students of health faculties (nursing, allied medical sciences and pharmacy) to develop their skills in various specializations. In addition to providing health and treatment services through the university's health insurance network.
In turn, His Excellency Dr. Awni Al-Bashir expressed his thanks and appreciation for the cooperation shown by the President of Isra University, and spoke about the establishment of Al-Maqasid Charitable Hospital and the achievements it has accomplished despite the financial challenges and its reliance on self-operation, praising the efforts of those in charge of its management and the efforts of the medical staff. He also referred to the hospital’s medical departments, including the intensive care department, surgery and internal medicine for men, obstetrics, premature birth, gynecology and children, kidney dialysis, emergency and ambulance, and operations. He also referred to the supporting medical departments, including: the physical therapy department, the radiology department, and the laboratory department, and that the hospital provides all medical services except for open heart surgery and cardiac catheterization.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the faculty of Nursing, Professor Dr. Wafika Zaher, and the Director of Public and Cultural Relations, Dr. Aseel Alshbeekat.
