The Department of Arabic Language and Literature at Isra University celebrated the World Arabic Language Day through a diverse cultural event, held under the patronage of His Excellency the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Dr. Muhammad Bani Younis, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, Dr. Tariq Al-Ziyadat.

 

The event included a set of purposeful paragraphs prepared and presented by the department's students, where the event was opened with a welcoming speech that emphasized the importance of the Arabic language as a cultural and civilizational identity. This was followed by a theatrical paragraph that dealt with linguistic issues in a creative way, followed by a poem that expressed the beauty and antiquity of the Arabic language. The event also included a puzzle and proverbs competition from the Arab heritage that stimulated the interaction of the audience, in addition to a set of other cultural paragraphs that reflected the creativity of the students and their keenness to highlight the status of the Arabic language globally.

 

At the end of the event, the Head of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, Dr. Tariq Al-Ziyadat, extended his sincere thanks to His Excellency the Dean of the faculty of Arts, Professor Dr. Muhammad Bani Younis, for his continuous support and great interest in such events. He also thanked the participating students for their distinguished efforts and remarkable creativity in presenting the segments.

 

For his part, the Dean of the faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Bani Younis, praised the efforts of the department and its students in making this event a success, stressing the importance of promoting love and pride in the Arabic language among students. The event was well received by the attendees, who praised the diversity of the segments and their good organization, pointing out the importance of continuing such events in enhancing awareness of the importance of the Arabic language.
