In the context of achieving the mission of Isra University to strengthen the relationship with the local community, and to consolidate its awareness-raising role in legal developments, the Faculty of Law, in cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation/Amman Office, organized an awareness lecture entitled: "Cybercrimes and Ways to Deal with and Prevent Electronic Blackmail", delivered by Attorney Rami Al-Suleihat. The lecture was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Shawabkeh, a number of faculty members, in addition to Professor Ahmed Abu Sheikha, representing the Crown Prince Foundation, and a group of university students.

 

Professor Al-Sulaihat discussed the risks of unsafe use of technology and modern techniques, presenting real-life examples of cases in which individuals in society fell victim to the misuse of these means.

 

Dr. Mahmoud Al-Shawabkeh, Dean of the faculty, stressed the importance of using social media in a safe and responsible manner, which prevents individuals from falling into the traps of weak-willed people who are professionals at luring and blackmailing their victims. He also called for adopting ethical values ​​that protect individuals from these risks.

 

This lecture is part of a series of initiatives by the faculty of Law to enhance legal awareness among students and help them deal with the challenges imposed by modern technology.
