The Community Service and Cultural Activities Committee organized a distinguished lecture entitled “The Relationship between the Doctor and the Pharmacist in the Workplace”, in addition to the “Fruits of Renewal” exhibition of olive products.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by Dr. Juhaina Abu Arshid, Head of the Cultural Activities and Community Service Committee, who welcomed the attendees and the honorable guest, Consultant Doctor Mohammed Al-Zeer, Director of the Fertility and Genetics Unit at the Saudi Hospital, who presented the lecture.
The lecture addressed the importance of joint coordination between the physician and the pharmacist in the field of work, and how this contributes to improving treatments and providing comprehensive care for patients.
The mutual benefits that can be achieved through teamwork were highlighted, and the importance of each team member understanding his vital role in achieving medical success.
The committee also opened the “Fruits of Renewal” exhibition for olive products, which witnessed the hanging of wishes for the year 2025 on the olive tree in a symbolic gesture of hope and renewal.
The exhibition included an introductory tour of its various corners, led by Dr. Juhaina Abu Arshid and genetic engineer Farah Malaebeh, a member of the committee. During the tour, the contents of the exhibition and the role of students in organizing the event were reviewed, including:
Tasting Corner: which took visitors on an experience rich in traditional flavors through a variety of dishes prepared with olive oil, reflecting its diverse uses in the local kitchen.
Educational Corner: which addressed the history of the use of olive oil in ancient medicine and the importance of oil in modern medicine, with a display of a group of products extracted from olive oil. The students also provided a detailed explanation of the applications of olive oil in ancient folk remedies and its most prominent benefits in contemporary medicine.
The educational corner became an excellent opportunity to interact with visitors, as it provided valuable information about the health and medical applications of olive oil and how to integrate it into daily treatment systems.
