Isra University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Jordanian Construction Contractors Association, with the aim of opening up the field of professional, scientific and engineering cooperation between the two parties.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mohammad Musa Hamed, President of the University, with the Head of the Contractors Association, Mr. Fouad Mahmoud Al-Duwairi, in the presence of Eng. Abdul Halim Al-Bastanji (Deputy Head), Eng. Ibrahim Al-Sabtsi, Mr. Muhammad Al-Kouz (Council Members), Mr. Iyad Aql (Director of Public Relations and Media) from the Association, Dr. Ithar Al-Essa (Head of the Civil Engineering Department) and Dr. Aseel Al-Shabeekat (Director of Cultural and Public Relations).
The memorandum included the transfer of expertise and knowledge, the exchange of experiences and joint work between the two parties, so that consultation and coordination take place between the two teams to improve the quality of education and increase the competitiveness of the contracting sector in Jordan in line with the developments of the labor market, cooperation in organizing exhibitions, conferences, scientific days and workshops held by the two teams, cooperation in the field of studies, and cooperation in the field of training students of engineering specializations.
His Excellency the University President stressed that the University is working to provide an educational model that enhances basic and technical skills in the various engineering fields required by the labor market, and also enhances the spirit of initiative and the creative and intellectual energies of students to be distinguished by knowledge and empowerment.
The Contractors Syndicate President pointed out that the Syndicate seeks to develop the field of engineering constructions, raise the capacity of engineering and technical cadres in Jordan, export its various engineering services to Arab countries, and raise the level of the construction contracting profession in Jordan and the Arab world in various engineering fields and specializations, through qualifying and training engineers, technicians and workers in the field of construction contracting.
