The Faculty of Nursing organized its first scientific session on Thursday, 01/30/2025, hosting Associate Professor Dr. Rasmiya Al-Amar from Yarmouk University to present and discuss a research paper that addressed a very important topic entitled: “Quality of Life for Individuals with Visual Impairments and Their Family Members.” The researcher indicated that visual impairments are among the most challenging disabilities, as they directly affect an individual’s ability to navigate their environment, obtain education, secure employment opportunities, and participate in social and cultural life. In addition to physical limitations, people with visual impairments often face emotional and psychological obstacles such as feelings of dependence, isolation, and low self-esteem.

The importance of this meeting stems from the noble motive motivated by the university leadership to support the aspirations of the Faculty of Nursing in organizing “monthly scientific sessions” to develop an environment whose members are distinguished by a scientific level of knowledge, experience and competence, through conducting and discussing the results of research in the field of nursing sciences in line with the university’s vision.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Aseel Shabeikat, Director of the Department of Cultural and Public Relations, heads of departments, faculty members, and graduate students at the Faculty of Nursing.
