Isra University signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises Support (NAFES), affiliated with the Higher Council for Science and Technology, with the aim of improving the performance of small and medium-sized private sector enterprises by raising their efficiency and increasing their competitiveness.
The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamed, President of Al-Isra University, and His Excellency Professor Dr. Mashhour Al-Refai, Chairman of the Fund's Supervisory Committee and Secretary-General of the Council, in the presence of:
Dr. Raed Odeh (Assistant Secretary-General of the Council for Scientific and Technological Affairs), Engineer Moaz Al-Alawin (Fund Director), Professor Dr. Inshad Juma (Assistant President of the University for International Projects and Academic Affairs), Professor Dr. Muna Hindiya (Dean of the College of Engineering), and Dr. Aseel Al-Shabikat (Director of the Center for Consulting, Training, Continuing Education, and Community Service) at the University.
The memorandum of understanding aims to train and build human capacity for private sector institutions in the administrative and financial fields by providing administrative and financial consulting and conducting studies for their projects and programs, contributing to their sustainability and success.
His Excellency the President of Isra University emphasized that the university always seeks to serve the local community and enhance its role in social responsibility by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and helping them perform their national role effectively.
For his part, His Excellency Professor Dr. Mashhour Al-Rifai stated that, through NAFES, the council seeks to strengthen partnerships between sectors of society, link industry with academia, and activate the university's role as a leading institution, providing private sector institutions with the opportunity to effectively participate in economic development.
Engineer Moaz Al-Alawin indicated that the memorandum of understanding establishes a long-term strategic partnership with the university, aiming to achieve common goals in the areas of research. This will contribute to building a competitive economic environment that supports development and opens new horizons for small and medium enterprises to achieve sustainable success.
The memorandum of understanding also provides valuable educational and training opportunities for Al-Isra University students, enabling them to benefit from programs and projects implemented by the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (NAFES). This will contribute to enhancing their practical skills in the fields of management, finance, and consulting, preparing them to enter the job market with confidence and high competence.
In addition, the memorandum will provide opportunities for field training and practical application for students in real-world work environments, enhancing their ability to face future professional challenges.
