As part of developing the clinical training environment and enhancing teamwork skills among health professions students, the Field Training Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy held an interprofessional education session in collaboration with the Faculty of Nursing. The session was supervised by Professor Haneen Al-Muhaisen from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Dr. Najla Jamal from the Faculty of Nursing, as part of the field training plan for the current semester.

This session aimed to support the concepts of interprofessional education among health professions and enable students to practice their professional roles in a collaborative context that reflects the reality of integrated clinical work.

The session sought to enhance students' understanding of the roles of various healthcare team members and develop their communication and coordination skills, with a focus on preparing them for professional practice based on collaboration and working within multidisciplinary teams. This contributes to consolidating the concept of comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare.

The session began with a presentation of a clinical case study, which was presented and explained by both parties. Pharmacy students presented the pharmacological aspects and proposed therapeutic interventions, while nursing students addressed the nursing aspects and nursing plans related to patient care and monitoring.

Subsequently, joint working groups were formed, including students from both specialties. They worked together to analyze the case, discuss therapeutic and nursing aspects, and propose an integrated care plan under academic supervision from both departments.

This collaborative experience provided students with the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in an interactive simulation environment and enhanced their ability to make decisions based on shared professional and scientific foundations. This is an important step toward preparing them for the job market within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

The students demonstrated positive engagement during the session, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in developing their clinical and practical skills and expressing their desire to repeat such experiences, which allow them to collaborate realistically with colleagues in other healthcare disciplines.

At the beginning of the scientific day's activities, Dr. Walhan Al-Shaer, the keynote speaker, delivered a specialized scientific lecture entitled "Liposomal Drug Delivery Systems." He discussed the latest technologies and applications in the use of liposomes in drug delivery, and their role in improving efficacy and reducing toxicity. He emphasized the importance of this field in transferring laboratory research into actual clinical practice.

The two sessions included eight scientific research presentations by researchers from Isra University, along with participants from various Jordanian universities. These presentations addressed advanced topics in drug discovery and development, clinical pharmaceutical practice, and drug safety.

A competition for the best scientific poster was also held during the scientific day for outstanding master's students. The submissions were evaluated by a specialized committee, and three winners were announced in recognition of their outstanding research.

The scientific day activities included honoring the guest of the scientific day, speakers, drug warehouses and pharmaceutical manufacturing companies participating in the stations, members of the organizing committee, volunteer students, in addition to the students who won the best scientific poster competition from master’s students, and the students who won the best presentation competition from field training students, in appreciation of their valuable contributions to the success of the scientific day’s activities. At the conclusion of the scientific day, it was emphasized to continue supporting scientific research and academic cooperation in the field of pharmacy and health care.
