His Excellency the University President congratulated the Faculty of Nursing staff, represented by its deans who have served over the past four years, and all faculty and administrative staff members, on obtaining the American Accreditation by the American Association for the Advancement of Education (ACEN). He expressed his great pride and appreciation for this achievement. In his speech, he emphasized that this achievement is an indicator of the determination and strong will of everyone to achieve leadership and excellence, and that it represents international recognition of the quality of the Bachelor of Nursing program. He pointed out that the university has developed a clear action plan to advance its specializations and obtain international accreditations aimed at advancing the educational process. He emphasized that the university has dedicated its resources to ensuring that all its faculties become leading faculties locally, regionally, and internationally. He also extended his thanks and appreciation to the university's partners in this success, who were an integral part of it.
Shahad Al-Harayzah, a student in the undergraduate program, delivered a speech in which she said, "Today we celebrate an achievement woven through sincere efforts and boundless ambitions: the Bachelor of Nursing program's accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). This accreditation is not just a certificate hung on the faculty walls; it is a global recognition of the quality of education and the faculty's commitment to high academic and professional standards, aiming to prepare a generation of nurses who carry the message of knowledge and humanity."
The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Wafiqa Zahir, noted that the Faculty of Nursing at Isra University achieved local accreditation from the Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission in the 2021/2022 academic year for a period of four years, followed by global accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) in the United States.
This accreditation was achieved at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year for a period of five years. This accreditation is a testament to the tireless efforts, dedication, and hard work of the faculty, administration, and students over the faculty's eighteen years. The faculty has successfully affirmed its distinct identity and noble, ambitious mission by achieving local and international accreditation alongside its sister faculties of nursing at local public and private universities. The Faculty of Nursing at Isra University was ranked fifth among nursing faculties in the Kingdom. I extend my sincere appreciation to the administration of Isra University, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamed; the former deans of the Faculty of Nursing; members of the local and international accreditation committees, including faculty, administrators, students, and representatives of the local community; the Secretary-General of the Jordanian Nursing Council, Professor Dr. Hani Al-Nawafleh; the President of the Jordanian Nurses and Midwives Association; the nursing directors at Ministry of Health and private sector hospitals; the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university; the Admissions and Registration Department; the Public Library; and all the university's departments, centers, and units for their efforts in elevating the Faculty of Nursing graduates to assume their roles of responsibility, not only locally but also globally, with competence and courage.
The celebration was attended by His Excellency Professor Dr. Hani Al-Nawafleh, Secretary-General of the Jordanian Nursing Council; and the nursing directors at the hospitals that train nursing students in practical subjects.
