Admission and Registration Department

Introduction
This department which is an important branch of the faculty of education was instituted concurrent with that of the college . It started its programs and plans to boost the urgent educational needs dictated by the nature of (2002) scholastic year . The department actively helps promote education and science at all levels

Vision
The Child education department in the faculty of education at Isra University aspires to be a pioneer on the local , regional and international levels in preparing academic and education specialized cadres who help develop the educational and qualitative services given to Children Such a thing contributes to community services .

Message
The Message of the department consists of three goals :
1- To prepare cadres of students who are professionally and educationally qualified to be teachers . It also prepares successful ,researchers, leaders, and administrators for graduate studies .
2- To prepare research projects, supervise them in order to contribute Scientific research in the kindergarten
3- To provide consultation and training services to government and national institutions , in addition to providing enlightenment and education programs which will make community members know how to deal with children at different stages .

Objectives
1- Securing information and necessary experiences which enable the students understand the nature of the child and his development at several stages and to prepare them for teaching and supervising nurseries and kindergartens in government and national institutions
2- Training students on modern methods of teaching in this field and providing them with modern practical training which acquaints the children to the necessary basic concepts of education and behavior
3- Contributing to students’ understanding of the nature of kindergarten curricula ,basics of child's activities, and new experiences .
4- Conducting research and studies in childhood area that contribute o the development and modernization of teaching .
5- Training female kindergarten teacher to raise her professionalism through training courses which help her to be aware of the new in the kindergarten field .

  I welcome all visitors to this electronic site of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at al- Isra university. The faculty represents one of the outstanding additions to this distinguished academic and scientific monument. It is one of the preceding faculties, among private sector universities in Jordan, in establishing a Bachelor degree program in Physiotherapy.

     The faculty implement the Ministry of Higher Education standards and regulations in granting Bachelor degrees for the students. The terms of acceptance, study plan and the requirements to attain a Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy are compatible with its equivalents in the local and international faculties of Allied Medical Sciences. High school graduates may join this program which includes 135 credit hours distributed over four years. The faculty is looking forward to expand in other scientific fields through initiating new programs soon, such as: "Technology of Radiation Imaging", and "Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation".

     This young faculty was established on solid, scientific origins and pillars that allowed it to move steadily towards creating a distinguishable, qualified and competent graduates. It attracts highly qualified academic staff, and ambitious students who intend to promote the profession of physiotherapy and its code of conduct to guarantee integrity and honesty of performance; especially that a physiotherapist's job is to deal with patients who desperately need help to repair and retain the natural performance of their body's organs.

     The Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences achieves its mission, vision, and core values that are derived from Isra University mission, vision, and values through its emphasis on the following major roles: (1) Teaching/Learning, where theoretical teaching in classes corresponds with the clinical learning that takes place in specialized labs and hospitals, (2) Conducting and publishing scientific research and participating at local and international scientific conferences, (3) Community service, (4) Continuous quality improvement.

In accordance to the aspirations & vision of Isra University, the Faculty of Allied Medical sciences is established to meet the national, regional, and international demands of competent Allied Medical personnel who are equipped with the needed professional skills & abilities to work in contemporary health care settings to meet the complex needs of patients, families, and communities.

To achieve this goal, skillful Faculty members are recruited and skill-labs are equipped with the most advanced training material, instruments, and appliances.
Furthermore, open-door policy is adapted to overcome challenges faced by students and Faculty members.

 

Program Learning Outcome (PLOs):

 
Program Learning Outcomes describe what students are expected to know and be able to do by the time of graduation. These relate to the knowledge, skills, and behaviors that students acquire as they progress through the program. A graduate of the () program will demonstrate :

  1. Knowledge of basic principles in anatomy, physiology, pathology, and general health related to understanding the movement of the body .
  2. Familiarity with functional problems through proper assessment and development of appropriate treatment plan for the patient's condition .
  3. Diagnosis of functional problems considering the preventive aspects, and the practice of evidence-based therapy .
  4. Develop a treatment plan containing short and long-term goals commensurate with the assessment of the patient's condition .
  5. The application of creative thinking as a method in solving the problems of muscular and motor fitness in the patient.
  6. Work in a team and act responsibly in personal and professional situations .
  7. The ability to apply the rules of behavior and medical ethics in the issuance of therapeutic judgments .
  8. Rehabilitation of the injured by employing a range of natural means in conducting therapeutic exercises .
  9. Apply general safety measures when dealing with patients .
