Faculty Of Nursing

on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Dr. Louay Al-Saloumi from the faculty  of Pharmacy at Al-Isra University was invited to share his expertise in this field.

Dr. Louay Al-Saloumi pointed out that systematic review and meta-analysis are two terms that both address research, but there are important differences. A systematic review is a piece of work that poses a research question and then answers it by summarizing evidence that meets a set of pre-defined criteria. Meta-analysis, on the other hand, is a statistical method that combines the results of multiple trials to generate an average result. Meta-analysis adds value because it can produce a more accurate estimate of the effect of the variable under study than examining each study individually. Many systematic reviews present their results using meta-analysis.

This meeting aims to enhance faculty members' expertise in scientific research and connect them to new developments, enabling them to continue to contribute, develop, and achieve innovation in an environment where individuals possess a distinguished level of knowledge, experience, and competence.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Wafiqa Zahir, the Assistant Dean for Quality Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Othman, the heads of departments, Prof. Dr. Shalabyah Al-Sayed Abu Zaid, and Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Amouri, as well as the faculty members at the Faculty of Nursing.
