Isra University (IU) is a Jordanian higher education institution located on Queen Alia International Airport Highway, Amman. Isra university's mission is to provide pioneer academic programs, high quality of education to students and to serve them in its role as a center for the advancement, sharing, and use of knowledge, also, to contribute to achieving the aspirations of society through the application of international standards of excellence in academic programs and the development of students, fosters shared values, moral principles, and dedication to serving the common good.

Isra University (IU) was established in 1991 in compliance with the decree (357) of the Jordanian Higher Education Council in 1989. It received its first batch of students at the beginning of the academic year 1991/1992. Since then, the University has sought to be an active partner in the national and regional efforts to enhance the quality of university education and provide a university environment that promotes students' freedom and creativity and attracts qualified students from Jordan, neighboring, and foreign countries. At Isra University (IU), we are devoted to providing our students with a high-quality education in all the University's programs. The University is also dedicated to preparing a generation of young people who can take responsibility for the challenges the community may face through what the University offers in indoor and outdoor activities. The University endeavors always to attain distinction and to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation in quality teaching, originality of research work, and community services. The University takes upon itself to provide the job market and stakeholders with well-informed and well-trained graduates who are expected to excel in their professions and who are able to meet the demands and requirements desired by interested parties. The University is moreover determined to be one of its kind in promoting scientific, critical, and creative thinking; it moves enthusiastically to achieve distinction through theory and practice-based teaching. The study plans are carefully fashioned to meet the demands and challenges of the market, as well as, the development of teaching methods that meets the skills of these upcoming generations.

Further, the University enhances pluralism and civilized thinking, and cultural integration. In addition, it disseminates a culture of understanding and tolerance. At the same time, it denounces all kinds of violence, fanaticism, and prejudice. Since its inception up to the present time, the University has provided the local and Arab community with highly qualified graduates, taught and nurtured at the hand of distinguished faculty members who acquired Graduate Degrees at various universities, local, regional, and international.

Providing distinguished engineering and technical educational programs, stimulate creativity and accomplish community service.

Objectives

  1.  Prepare qualified graduates in engineering specialties.
  2.  Raise the level of teaching and learning process consistent with international accreditation standards.
  3.  Develop the academic, technical and administrative performance of all faculty members.
  4.  contract partnership agreements with various public institutions.
  5.  To promote applied scientific research that meets the needs of the labor market.
  6.  Deepening the ethics of the engineering profession.

About Faculty

The Faculty was founded in 1991 and the study in the different departments began in the same year by the enrollment of nearly hundred students. The faculty comprises of four departments with the following disciplines:

1. Civil Engineering

2. Architecture Engineering

3. Renewable Energy Engineering

4. Electrical Engineering

The faculty has qualified distinguished members Ph.D. holders (Full Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors) and M.Sc. holders in addition to a large number of engineers, technician’s workers in the engineering laboratories and workshops for training the students and qualifying them to practice the engineering profession.

In addition, two M.Sc. programs were developed and introduced namely Engineering Project Management and Structural Engineering.

The Faculty of Engineering was established in 1991 and today includes four programs at the bachelor’s level: Civil Engineering, Architecture Engineering, Communication and Electronics Engineering, and Renewable Energy Engineering, and two master's programs: Master of Engineering Projects Management and Master of Structural Engineering.

Since its inception, the Faculty of Engineering has pledged itself to achieve excellence in engineering education and scientific research, embodying its vision and fulfilling its mission of community service.

From this standpoint, and believing that the success of universities in fulfilling their scientific and societal roles, guarantees the success of its mission in raising up a generation of graduates capable of carrying responsibility and advancing society, the Faculty of Engineering has worked hard to attract distinguished faculty members from inside and outside the country and has worked to develop its study plans to keep pace with the developments of the times, until we see graduates of the Faculty of Engineering occupy important positions and everyone attests them with competence, whether in the private or public sector, inside and outside Jordan.

Engineering sciences have become of great complexity with many challenges, but also of many opportunities and alternatives, and we live in an open world full of communication facilities and mutual influence. On this basis, the Faculty of Engineering at Isra University has adopted, since its inception, a policy of openness to the industry to provide its graduates with the necessary skills to keep pace with the tremendous developments in the labor market. It has always worked to enrich its educational programs in cooperation with the finest engineering companies in Jordan, in various engineering fields, in order to raise the awareness of our students to the necessity of reviewing the latest engineering developments, to help them discover their talent and their sense of responsibility, to develop in them the ability of observing and curiosity, to train them to provide alternative solutions, and to improve their level of decision-making, to be in line with the requirements of the labor market.

May God help us to serve our students and provide everything that is useful and new to them so that we can realize on the ground our vision that aims at excellence in education and community service.

The kindergarten aims to enable children acquire basic knowledge and be efficient members of the society in terms of education, productivity and human ethics.

1- Providing a variety of educational and fun activities taking into consideration the individual differences.
2- Reinforcing positive behaviour as well as motivating creativity and innovation.

1- Provide a healthy motivating environment for playing as well as developing the personality.
2- Promote innovation and develop the physical senses in accordance with the relevant development phase.
3- Reinforce their abilities to grow and learn by implementing the best day care facilities.
4- Provide complete care necessary for maintaining good health.
5- Reinforce positive values in a pleasant and joyful environment.
6- Fulfil their needs allowing them to move smoothly from nursery to kindergarten.
7- Focus on the educational, social, physical, mental, cultural and emotional needs.
8- Enhance their imagination by applying advanced activities encouraging them to speak their minds and develop their abilities to exchange ideas and thoughts.
9- Instil in them the passion to learn and acquire knowledge by providing them with love safety and security.
