The Faculty of Pharmacy was established in 1991 and was one of the first pharmacy programs in Jordan. recently the pharmacy profession has evolved, therefore pharmacy education in the 21^st century has witnessed several important revolutionary changes. As the need for a patient-centered approach becomes more and more apparent, the skill set of a pharmacist has to be expanded. This can be accomplished by introducing an evidence-based education. At the IU faculty of pharmacy ,we are closely observing the dynamic changes in the pharmacy profession and we continue to modify our curriculum  to reflect these changes.

Curriculum modifications include,but not limited to, introducing a number of core courses in clinical pharmacy, pharmacotherapy, and pharmacy practice, updating the content of a number of courses, and allocating more time for pharmacy training in many pharmacy practice settings.
