 Duties of the Quality Assurance Office

  • Spreading and consolidating the quality culture.
  • Contributing to the training of faculty and administrative staff on issues related to quality control.
  • Contributing to the processes of controlling the level of quality in the university.
  • Supervising the preparation, documentation and distribution of policies, procedures, forms and manuals, and following up on their development and updating.
  • Assisting in managing the quality and quality control committees and work teams at the university.
  • Contributing to the application of local and international accreditation and quality standards.
  • Providing effective mechanisms for managing institutional and job performance.
  • Keeping the Continuous improvement and effectiveness measurement to ensure the achievement of quality control.
  • Submitting the necessary reports and providing databases for decision makers.
  • Training employers in the field of quality in the university and committees in faculties to prepare the files of quality standards and to prepare a self-evaluation for the program in coordination with the Faculty Members Development Center.

Vision

Excellence in academic and administrative quality assurance to achieve the highest quality control for the university and its programs.

 

Mission

Building up a quality assurance system in accordance with the university's vision of leadership and excellence to establish the fundamental pillars of the institutional work and the culture of quality assurance and to achieve the university's ambitions in obtaining the highest local and international quality assurance certificates and international accreditations.

 

Objectives

1. To build up and implement a quality assurance system at the university.

2. To establish the fundamental pillars of institutional work and the culture of qualityassurance at the university.

3. To obtain local quality assurance certificates for all academic programs.

4. To attain international accreditation in various specializations.

5. To obtain the ISO 9001: 2015 certificate at the university level.

 

Director's Word

The Quality Assurance Office (QAO) at Al-Isra University seeks to spread the culture of quality and establish it as a daily practice in the faculties and departments. By evaluation and development of performance, the Quality Assurance (QA) Center has set up the policies and the necessary procedures for effective management of the QA system in order to achieve the university's vision and mission. The Center also endeavors to develop the bases of systematic work through effective communication to ensure the quality and development of the processes. The QAO is a reliable authority for the implementation of quality processes in the university.

The QAO has established an integrated system for managing quality work in the university in conformity with the standards of the Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission. It also continuously develops and reviews the quality assurance system.

The tasks of the QAOin the university include: controlling and following up the processes and procedures; continuous development of the educational outcomes and their quality; helping to make administrative decisions based on studies, questionnaires, and statistics; improving the quality of the educational programs’outcomes and measuring their effectiveness; ensuring implementation of the procedures, their review, and auditing; standardizing quality forms and following up their modifications; reviewing job descriptions of the university employees; and setting up the bases for quality control of the educational programs by supervising the evaluation processes and verifying the opinions of beneficiaries.

The Office aims at excelling in quality assurance of the educational programs to achieve pioneering and excellence in the university. In addition, the QAO seeks to realize the university’s ambitions in obtaining the highest and best local and international quality certificates.

 

The vision and mission of the QAO are derived from the university’s vision and mission to reach the level of the internationally ranked universities. This is achieved by disseminating the cultures of quality and improvement for the advancement and of the university.

About the Office

The Quality Assurance Office is the authority through which the quality assurance standards issued by the Higher Education Accreditation Commission and its Quality Assurance are practically implemented in the university environment in all its academic and administrative aspects.

The Quality Assurance Office at Al-Isra University seeks to apply the comprehensive quality approach by achieving the university’s vision and mission to enhance quality assurance and to follow up its eight standards. It also designs new forms and follows new procedures that help in developing quality work at the colleges and the administrative departments and centers in accordance with the standards issued by the Higher Education Accreditation Commission and its Quality Assurance. In addition, The Quality Assurance Office applies the standards and policies included in the Quality Assurance Manual to control and sustain quality and enhance local and international competitiveness.

Applying the elements of the private and general accreditation system by means of achieving the local and international criteria.


Objectives:

  1. Enhancing the accreditation culture among the university personnel
  2. Applying the private and general criteria of accreditation in the university and its faculties in accordance with the criteria of the accreditation commission of the Higher Education institution and their quality
  3. Continuous checking of the capacity level
  4. Studying the prospects of initiating new academic programs according to the needs of the work market
  5. Following up the requirements of the private and general accreditation in response to the criteria set by the accreditation commission and ensuring their quality and developing the skill of the accreditation office staff.
  6. Cooperating with all faculties, departments, and different offices in fulfilling the strategic objectives of the university which spring from the strategic plan of the university.

In implementing the mission of the accreditation office and its objectives, we always wish to ensure fulfilling the clauses and criteria of the general and private accreditation commission of the Higher Education institutions. Also, we would like to ensure its good quality academics and in the administrative units in order to maintain the continuity of the private accreditation for all the academic programs in the university as well as maintaining the general capacity level of the university.
