Department of student's activities

Division of sports activity:

Tasks:

-Organizing the internal and external sports tournaments of different disciplines.
-Performing various sports activities, which are suited to the students' needs and tendencies
-Provide the opportunity for the largest number of students and staff at the university (faculty members and employees) to practice various sports activities.
-To instill and consolidate the correct concepts of physical education and awareness of the importance of sports activity.
-Spreading awareness and useful sports culture among students.
-Raising the level of the technical performance of the teams of the university sports through the stadiums and the interior.
-Set up various sports camps.

Artistical Activity Division:
Tasks:

-Providing students with the opportunity to practice their hobbies and artistic creations, develop them, and refine them.
-Nurturing talented people, and developing their skills in creative artistic fields of poetry, music and theater.
-Create technical teams within the university.
-Participation in artistic festivals.
-Participate in various art competitions.
-Holding various artistic courses in singing, playing, dabke, painting and theater

Division of cultural and social activity:

Tasks:

-Raising the level of awareness among students, and work to refine and develop the personality of the university student.
-Engage the concept of public service and community service for students through workshops, seminars and volunteer initiatives.
-Supervising various cultural and social activities.
-Encourage students to participate in the activities of the department and to indicate the importance of participation in the service of society and the homeland

Department of student's service

The Student Services Department undertakes the following tasks to serve the students, as follows:
-To monitor the quality of the services of interest to the students and to make periodic reports on the facilities that provide food and drink to the students to ensure that they meet the public health and safety standards.

 

-To receive complaints from students, to deal with differences among themselves, or to transfer these complaints, in addition to the work of exploratory tours within the university, to identify potential foci of the differences and work to deal with them before they occur.
-Issuing certificates of good conduct and acquittal, in accordance with the instructions of the Deanship and the University.
-Handing over the lost items, announcing them, and handing them over to their owners.
-Communicate with parents in the event of academic or behavioral violations in the student.
-Supervising the organization of student trips and follow-up as required.
-Participation in the graduation ceremony and all the activities of the Deanship of Student Affairs.
-Follow-up and completion of all matters relating to the affairs of foreign students.
-Issuing new student cards.

  • The affairs care about following up the student's issues and assist in solving their social, psychological and physical problems.

  • Welcoming new students and guide them to the university facilities and familiarize them with the programs and academic departments in cooperation with the department of admissions and registration, military affairs and security services.

  • Issuing the student card in cooperation with the department of admission and registration.

  • Organize the student information record in its own file.

  • Contribute to care about the student's behavior through programs aimed at developing the spirit of responsibility and belonging and creating the right atmosphere by stimulating participation in various activities.

  • Organizing demand committees, culture, artistic, social, and sports clubs. To prepare and implement programs aimed at these levels and celebrating national events.

  • Supervising the gym and organizing the exercises under the supervision and responsibility of the trainers concerned.

  • Taking care of the talents and innovations of students and participate in the selection of promising leaders and work to improve their role according to the instructions contained in the approved regulations for this purpose.

  • Encouraging the written creations of students, organizing exhibitions and student announcements, and following up on the implementation of the specializations for this purpose.

  • Organize students' social and recreational trips and comply with the instructions.

  • Organizing student meetings with the university president and concerned officials.

  • Organizing camps, summer camps and training for students of Jordanian and friendly universities and youth institutions in cooperation with the university's specialized authorities.

  • Provide educational and psychological guidance for students through social and psychological counselors in cooperation with the Measurement and Guidance Center and the University Clinic.

  • Organizing and monitoring student records.

  • Follow-up and care of the affairs of students from all nationalities and issuing annual residence permits to them through the Ministry of Interior.

  • Organizing graduation ceremonies at the end of each semester.

Vision:

To contribute actively to the development of the talents and abilities of the students, to highlight their creations, to stimulate their energies and to develop the values of belonging, commitment and discipline and to participate actively in the various voluntary activities in order to complete the construction of their personality and to prepare them for a leadership role in their society.


Mission:

Commitment to provide student activities that contribute to the creation of an educational environment integrated educational achievement and training and development of dialogue skills and methods of learning and excellence and creativity and participation in decision-making, teamwork and community service and engage in various cultural, social, sports and artistic activities, and provide housing and food services.


Objectives:

1 - Help to establish the spirit of belonging and commitment and discipline of students.
2 - Provide professional guidance for students and help them adapt to the academic environment.
3 - Contribute to build and strengthen the leadership and leadership of students and the selection and care of leadership promising in their ranks in cooperation with the concerned bodies at the university

4- Preparing programs and sports activities for the development and refinement of students' talents, values ​​of cooperation and competition in their ranks and participation in sports activities for universities, Palestinian educational institutions, and the security and military establishment.
5- Preparing cultural, artistic and social programs in support of the curriculum in order to raise the level of cultural and artistic awareness, highlight and develop talents, strengthen their relations with each other and with the family of the university and achieve communication with the issues of their people and the local community.
6- Help students solve and overcome social, educational, psychological and material problems
7 - Follow up the affairs of graduates and maintain contact with the university and the dissemination of scientific and professional mission

About the Deanship: 

The deanship of student affairs was first established at the beginning of the academic year 1991-1992 in order to fully supervise the affairs of students during their university studies.

The Deanship also provides its services through communicating with the students and their families in providing appropriate housing and providing guidancePsychological, social and health care and health insurance.

This is in addition to sponsoring graduates by providing a mechanism for communication with them, providing the special premises for the graduates club, the follow-up office for graduates, and a special office to follow up the affairs of foreign students. The Deanship includes the office of the King Abdullah II Fund for Guidance and Vocational Rehabilitation. The Deanship is keen to interact with many leading institutions in the fields of youth development Such as the Prince Hassan Prize and the Supreme Council for Youth.

Student affairs deanship is opened to every one of you to communicate, interact, and to provide creative and innovative ideas for the purpose of student's activities and services development in Isra university. Our ambitions and objectives in the deanship are great and numerous, and all of them are in the student's interest.

As the first pillar in the educational and learning foundation and the process, the student affairs deanship philosophy in the Isra university concentrates on the university student interest and based on the university's educational, scientific and academic mission strategy.

Under the guidance of the university president "we harnessing efforts to develop the educational process and improve the performance and attention to the university students in all aspects related to our students: psychological, social, intellectual and physical, and everything belongs to their affairs of the educational process and provide the appropriate service in an efficient and effective, making the student interest our objective first and supreme, and stand the services provided to students within the university walls but beyond that to prepare them to enter the labor market by improving the quality of graduates and to respond to the labor market variables, in tune with the expectations that take place on the ground."

The department has been recently licensed and accredited by The Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Committee (AQACHEI) and is now ready to admit students starting from fall (Academic Year 2021/2022).

Data Science and Artificial intelligence are among the fastest-growing jobs around the globe. This growth is fueled by the recent breakthroughs and innovation in Artificial Intelligence which is behind what is now known as the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The land escape of the Data Science and Artificial intelligence job market covers a wide area of jobs that covers every aspect in our today’s life. The field offers innovative solutions for businesses, services, industries that spans both public and private sectors, in addition to research and academic institutions. Recently, an Artificial Intelligence strategy was adopted by the Jordanian government to be employed in all ministries and public institutions.

The department offers a Bachelor program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and it aims to provide dynamic and motivating teaching and learning environment that fosters success for all students. The program involves teachings the latest and most recent and cutting-edge technologies in the field, which involves providing students with a hand on experience that spans a wide spectrum of cross-disciplinary fields and topics that cover both Data Science and Artificial Intelligence including Python Programming, R, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Robotics, Internet of Thing, Business Intelligence, Computer Vision, Artificial Neural Networks, Cognitive Science, Knowledge Base Systems, Deep Learning, Data Engineering and BigData.
