Message from the Dean - Faculty of Information Technology

Prospective students from Jordan and abroad are invited to consider studying here. Faculty of Information Technology provides an attractive opportunity for students where they can find dedicated and competent faculty and staff, reasonable tuition fees, a vibrant academic atmosphere, and one of the most beautiful university campuses in Jordan.

Faculty of Information Technology covers a vast spectrum of topics which can be distinguished by different areas of applications. Our curriculum provides a common core of Computer Science \Computer Science, Computer Science\Computer Network, Computer Science\Multimedia Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, and Cyber Security. Moreover, we are proud to be among the first universities in Jordan that offered the master program in software engineering.

Our mission is to prepare students for positions of leadership in industry, government, and academia by empowering them with computer scientist knowledge with skills and experience in the following areas: Computer Application, Computer Networking and Security, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Graphics, User Interfaces, Computer Simulation, Software Engineering, and Computer Information Systems.

About the Faculty of Information Technology

Introduction

The faculty of Information Technology (IT) was founded in 1991 to keep abreast of the remarkable development and technical progress that has begun to affect our lives, which requires educated, trained, and qualified people, who are capable of fulfilling the comprehensive renaissance of all fields.

The faculty of IT encompasses recently Five specialties for B.Sc. program, which are: Computer Science, Computer Science / Computer Networks, Computer Science / Multimedia, Software Engineering, and Computer Information Systems. For M.Sc. program, we pioneered the establishment of the first Master of Software Engineering program in Jordan.

The IT faculty aims to level up the educational process according to the latest international quality standards to continue supporting scientific research by encouraging researchers to build effective cooperation with universities and research centers at the local and worldwide so the faculty can achieve its goals.
