Faculty Of Pharmacy

The physical therapy department was established in 2016 at Isra University as the first department in the College of Allied Medical Sciences to offer a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. The curriculum plan of the physical therapy program consists of 132 credit hours.It includes didactic, practical, and clinical experience. It also covers areas in evaluation and treatments for various health disorders such as orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, pediatric, and cardio-pulmonary disorders and post-operative conditions.

Students enrolled in physical therapy program will learn the necessary skills to evaluate and use different treatment techniques to improve functionality and quality of life.

Field training:

According to the study plan, student trains in a physical therapy clinics in hospital or privet centers. A training program developed by the physiotherapy department.  Field training 1 and field training 2 equivalent (4+8) credit hours which require students to attend clinics for 16 weeks. Student trains in various skills required by the physiotherapist. This is under the supervision of trainers from hospitals and physiotherapy centers and close follow-up by faculty members.



Training includes:

Four weeks in the treatment of musculoskeletal cases

Four weeks in the treatment of neurology cases

Two weeks in the treatment of surgery and burns

Two weeks in the treatment of pediatric diseases

Two weeks in the treatment of heart and lung diseases

Two weeks, in which the student chooses the specialty, he wishes

 

Trainee Evaluation:

1- Continuous evaluation by trainers in different disciplines at the end of each training period, It has 40% of the final mark and uses the special form to evaluate and submit the results of each training period to the physiotherapy department.

2-Practical valuation at the end of the period by a committee of at least three faculty members in the practical skills of physiotherapy and has 40% of the total grade.

3- Evaluation of duties and study functions provided by the student through building a logbook portfolio) 20%. Of the total marks

4- Student must assemble 70% of the marks in the total first and second evaluation to succeed in the field-training course

The Field Training Committee, the Physiotherapy Department Board and the Dean of the College approve results of the evaluation.

 

Overview:
The Arabic language and literature Department in Isra University was established in 2002. It comprises distinguished and highly qualified members of the teaching staff who are specialized in all the genres of Arabic language and literature.

Mission:
The message of the Department lies in preparing qualified graduates of Arabic in order to meet the demands of various job opportunities. The Department also aims at promoting open-mindedness and constructive dialogue in students.The department is concerned in instilling into its students the value of language and literature in their academic and professional life. It also aims at reinforcing their literary appreciation and criticism to be able to view and (re)view literary texts intellectually and academically.

Vision:
The Department seeks to achieve excellence in both teaching and research to keep pace with the latest global scientific advancements. It also aims to equip the graduates with both theoretical and practical skills to play positive roles and be influential in Jordan, as well as, in other Arab countries. In addition, Arabic is our concern as the formal language and the basic element of our everlasting identity.

Resources:
The department is equipped with state-of-the-art language labs for developing the students’ communication skills and reinforcing and complementing their theoretical linguistic knowledge.

Academic plan:

The study plan which complies with the general outline and standards of the Ministry of Higher Education is comprehensive enough to include all the necessary theoretical and practical courses in language and literature. The study plan is designed to meet the department’s learning objectives and outcomes whereby students can reach a level of competence that enables them to serve their community effectively.

Student's Activities:
Students are constantly motivated to take parts in different extracurricular activities on and off campus Including lectures, seminars, workshops and other activities but not excluded to lectures, seminars, workshops.

The Department’s Future Plans:
After launching a Master's program in Arabic language and literature, the department also aspires to offer a Master’s program in Arabic Syntax and Morphology.
