About the HR department

The HR department, formerly known as the Department of Staff Affairs, was established since the University’s founding in 1991.It currently consists of three sections headed by the HR Director: The Academic section, the Administration section, and the Payroll section.The Department provides services to 240 faculty members and 450 employees in the field of administration, and keeps pace with development and modernization in all work areas.

As one of the central University’s departments, it is concerned with following up and implementing the university’s strategic plan; recruiting qualified and talented people in the university colleges and departments and supporting them throughout their work period; and developing the Department’s units.

The Department also provides many services, the most important of which are: Recruiting human competencies based on the principle of equal opportunities, motivating employees based on their performance results, preparing financial dues for those leaving or have reached the end of their contract with the university, following up with annual contract renewal and annual pay rise, coordinating with the Finance Department to include employees in the Social Security Scheme, issuing and renewing work permits and annual residencies for non-Jordanians, maintaining accreditation requirements, supervising work hours, and regulating correspondences.

The Human Resources (HR) Department is one of the central departments in the University that is principally concerned with employing qualified, experienced and skilled people in the university’s colleges and departments and with providing support and advice to the university’s staff, managers and employees throughout the period of their work.

Department of Banking and Financial Management

Overview:

The department was established in October 1991, to offer the Bachelor degree in both the morning program and the evening program. To fulfill the requirements of the program, each student should complete (132) credit hours successfully, with a minimum cumulative rate of 60% in a minimum period of three years and up to nine years. The Bachelor degree program consists of (21) credit hours of university requirements, (6) credit hours of university elective courses, (24) credit hours of faculty requirements, (66) credit hours of department requirements, (6) credit hours of elective courses, (9) credit hours of supportive courses from other departments in the Faculty of Business. The student is not allowed to absent for more than 15% of the total credit hours per each registered course.

The General Objectives of the Department

  1. Provide the students with the updated academic and technical knowledge
  2. Provide the students with the most-in-demand practical skills in conformity with the local, regional and international markets.
  3. Provide the distinguished students with academic scholarships to complete their postgraduate studies in the field of their specialization in local and foreign Universities.

1.       Generalization of the names of the officials in the University to all formal institutions and Universities in Jordan at the beginning of each academic year, updating it and securing it to the intended institutions.

2.       Preparation, following and updating all formal invitations for various festivals of the university.

3.       Preparation of invitation cards in religious occasions with the name of university president.

4.       Preparation of visits held by formal and popular delegations and by university students and arranging a programme for such visits.

5.       Participation of informative activities which are concerned with university propagation on local and international level.

6.       Participation in the registration of new students.

7.       Reception and farewell  of university guests and preparing  of programme  for their visits.

8.       participation and cooperation in publishing brochures for the university, in a way that reflects the mission, vision and the basic values of the university.

9.       Reception of guests and delegations visiting the university during conferences from Jordan airport and securing an appropriate Hotel for them.
